英国推理女作家约瑟芬·铁伊（Josephine Tey,1896年7月25日-1952年2月13日)，原名伊丽莎白·麦金托什（Elizabeth Mackintosh），出生于苏格兰西北部，别名戈登·达维奥特（Gordon Daviot），是活跃于上世纪三四十年代的英国推理小说最辉煌的女杰之一。铁衣特立独行，不以数量取胜，穷尽一生之力只写了八部推理小说，部部皆是精品佳作。她的小说立意奇特，充满人性的温暖，既有奇妙的悬念，又有极高的文学价值，在推理小说史上占领着一个特殊的重要位置。
